Your Life (Haiku)

 It's not what you have

It is what you did with it

That counts at the end

Often said in other words, the message and the truth of it remains.  There are reminders of this and they need be heeded.

The Job (Haiku)

 

Our aim, to keep fit

To do the necessary 

For Good and Evil

The choice always ours

Both sides beckon and call us

Free-will, the choice ours.

Thoughts (Haiku)

 

Like clouds in the sky,

Nebulous, white, gray, or dark.

Then they are expressed.

Spoken or written,

Expression gives them power

For good or for bad.

Until expression,

In the cradle of a mind,

They float harmlessly.

A reminder to remember the basics, from which all proceeds.

Not the same as nil to do

Often we are lured into false thinking.  This is to say that procrastination is not the same as sitting in a void.

This isn't mine, but I am passing it along.  A bit of literary manipulation that may bring a smile.  One letter makes the question, the answer, substitute the "W" with a "T."

A few words that put the difference into perspective.  Other words may be passive/active, giving/receiving, et al.

Between ignorance

Learning is a continuum

Assimilation

The challenge of Haiku is to keep the structure and bend the rest.
